1.
How
does the One Number work?
Our
global network routes your incoming calls and faxes to the telephone
numbers you specify. All callers are prompted to either connect to
you or to leave a voice message. Callers are also prompted to announce
themselves so you can decide whether to accept the call or send it
to voice mail. OneRedCube can determine if an incoming call is a fax
and accept the fax for you. You can check your voice messages and
faxes at your personal communications portal with web access. You
can also check voice messages over the phone.
2.
Do
I have to change my phone number?
No, you don't need to change any of your existing telephone numbers
because OneRedCube will send your calls to these numbers. You will
receive a new number from us. This new number is the only number you
need to give out for home, office, cellular and fax. If you change
phone numbers because you move or change service providers, your OneRedCube
number will stay the same. It's the last number you'll ever need because
it can follow you wherever you go.
3.
Do
I need a special phone or gadget to use OneRedCube?
No,
OneRedCube is completely independent of any device or platform. It
will work with any equipment you already have or any equipment you
get in the future. There are no infrastructure costs associated with
OneRedCube.
4.
What
can I do at the OneRedCube web portal?
You
can listen to voice messages, view faxes and even place calls from
your web portal. Your personal communications portal is also a powerful
management tool where you can manage projects, meetings, personal
and business contacts. You can also check and send email from your
personal communications portal. OneRedCube will soon be expanding
its portal offerings to include online shopping, a wide variety of
customizable content and additional services.
5.
How can I check voice messages on the web portal?
OneRedCube
converts voice messages into streaming audio that you can hear over
your computer's speakers with one mouse click. You'll find it much
easier than checking messages over the phone because you can view
a list of messages, then check, delete, store and forward messages
in any order you like.
6.
Can
OneRedCube provide me with local phone service?
OneRedCube
does not currently provide dial tone or basic local phone service.
OneRedCube works with any such service you have and lets you easily
integrate these services behind One Number. OneRedCube provides premium
calling services like voicemail and conference calling and lets you
make inexpensive long-distance calls.
7.
Do I need to switch my local, long distance or
cellular service?
OneRedCube
works with any provider of basic calling service. There are no changes
to your existing services needed to use OneRedCube. You may want to
discontinue voicemail and other premium calling services on your existing
phone devices because these services are included in OneRedCube.
8.
I already have voicemail on my cell, at home and
at the office, how is this different?
OneRedCube
is much more than traditional voicemail. OneRedCube offers the ability
to receive calls anytime and anywhere. You have just one number for
home, office, cell and fax and just one voice mailbox to check. Your
OneRedCube account allows you to make long distance and conference
calls. You also have a personal communications portal to assist you
in managing your messages, projects, calendar, and contacts.
9.
How
is OneRedCube different from unified messaging?
Most
so-called unified messaging services available today give you a phone
number that can accept voicemail, faxes and sometimes email. However
these services cannot provide a real-time voice connection. They also
cannot integrate other phone numbers and communications devices. These
services give you an additional number, not a One Number. OneRedCube
gives you real-time voice contact like a regular phone number but
also gives you the power to control all of your other phone numbers
and communications tools.
10.
Can I synchronize OneRedCube with my PDA or PC-based
organizer?
OneRedCube
will be introducing synchronization with PDAs and the most widely
used email/organization software in the first quarter 2001.
11.
How do I sign up for OneRedCube?

over the phone.
12.

13.
How do I make long distance calls with OneRedCube?
Placing
long distance calls through OneRedCube is as easy as placing a call
with a traditional calling card. You simply dial your OneRedCube number,
enter your password and follow the menu prompts for placing a call.
You can also set up calls at your personal communications portal.
You simply enter the phone number that you will use for your phone
conversation and the phone number of the person you are calling. Our
network will connect the two numbers so that you can begin your conversation.
14.
Can
my department or my entire company use OneRedCube?
Absolutely.
OneRedCube can simplify your company-wide communications because you
no longer have to keep track of traveling colleagues. You can also
manage group projects through your OneRedCube communications portal.
If you would like more information about setting up a corporate account,

What if I don't want to receive work related
calls during non-work hours?
You
don't have to receive any calls that you don't want to receive because
you always have the option to send callers directly to voicemail.
If you don't want to receive work related calls during non-work hours,
you can program OneRedCube to stop sending those calls at the end
of the business day. Those calls will be sent directly to voice mail.
You can set up a passcode for people you want to be able to reach
you
